We have been very busy here at Castle Creavie Farm over the winter months making big improvements to our lovely Galloway getaway. The Cheeseloft has had a full make over making it a delightful cosy “home away from home” and the haybarn is midway through its refurbishments and will soon offer guests a fabulous new kitchen and bathroom.
We also now are very privileged to have our very own local artist showcasing her work at Castle Creavie. Katherine Wheeler is a full-time Visual and Socially-engaged Artist working professionally since 2005 and focused on socially engaged, participatory developed work. Her work “INplay” can be found throughout our properties (more information about Katherines work to follow in our upcoming blog).
Perhaps our most exciting accomplishment these past few months is the erection of our very unique authentic Mongolian yurt now called The Kites Rest in homage to the wonderful Red Kites that inhabit the surrounding countryside. Our 20ft yurt will offer a very comfortable glamping opportunity to live off grid while keeping the creature comforts of home. The large glass front allows for breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside and provides a beautiful frame for our stunning sunsets while the glass dome in the roof offers the luxury of stargazing from the comfort of a cosy bed. Watch this space…… bookings will be available very soon. Let the Kites Rest take you back to nature. Our home is your home……
